Weekend Agenda 5/4-5/5

May is Bike Month, so to celebrate another beautiful weekend why not enjoy a ride through Brooklyn.(image via http://www.prospectpark.org)

On Saturday, May 4th at 12 PM join a guided ride tour through historic Park Slope which will highlight the new additions to New York’s bike infrastructure. The ride is appropriate for cyclists 12 and up, make sure to bring, or rent, your own bike and don’t forget your helmet. Points to note will be some of the areas new bike lanes, bike corrals and the CitiBike station, opening soon.(via bikenyc.org)

After coasting through the park, drop by The Dean Lofts at 816 and 818 Dean Street to check out these new rentals. Saturday, open house hours are from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Sunday from 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM.

Or you can plot your own bike tour through the boro, travelling along the numerous bike paths. Make sure to stop off at the Fort Greene Park Market, open Saturdays from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. List of Farmers and more info here.

After lunch, cycle up Willoughby’s bike lane and check out our open house from 3:00 PM-5:00 PM at the Shelton, 775 Lafayette Avenue.

On Sunday, ride over to Prospect Park for the bi-monthly installment of the Food Truck Rally. Aside from grabbing a little bit of sun, grab some lunch from some of the city’s best mobile eats.

We’ll be hosting an open house at our Park Slope development, Park Union, at 910 Union St, from 12-4 on Sunday, so drop by on your route.
