Weekend Agenda: 10/26-10/27

This Saturday, head out to Hell’s Kitchen to check out HPDM’s newest development, 540 WEST. This seven-floor, two-tower development is a community in itself, with amenities including 24 hour attended lobby and landscaped courtyard with movie viewing area and reflecting pool. Stop by the sales office during Open House hours from 12-4:30 to learn and see more. Make sure to drop by the Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market afterwards to scope out some unique and one of a kind finds to fill your new home.

On Sunday, 650 Bergen will be hosting an Open House from 2:00 – 4:00, Afterwards, head over to Prospect Park for the Howl-O-Ween Costume Bash for Dogs. Dress up your dog in his most ghoulish costume to be eligible for prizes. There will be free treats from local sponsors and an obstacle course for the pups. The costume parade starts at 3 at the South Long Meadow, so don’t miss out.

Daily Intelligencer has plotted an interactive map with all of the Banksy pieces posted so far through his “Better Out Than In” public show. Every day throughout October, a picture of one of his pieces is posted on the his website with a vague location from around the city.  Fans are encouraged to hit the streets to find the location and take pictures with the work. If you want to catch them all without the guesswork, take a look at the map via NY Mag for exact locations and go on a Banksy tour of the City.

 

Weekend Agenda: 10/19-10/20

This weekend, start off on Saturday at the McCarren Park Greenmarket, opening at 8 AM. Stroll through the delicious vendors to find the perfect fruits, vegetables, baked goods and more, but stay for the Borscht Cooking Competition. Starting at 10:30, local restaurants will be serving up samples of their own beet-based soup for tasting and judging. Afterwards, head over to The Williamsburg  for an Open House from 12-5.

On Sunday, stop by our newest project, 650 Bergen. They will be hosting an Open House from 11:30 – 1:30, make sure to check out these expansive, sunny homes. Head over to the Gowanus Open Studios afterwards to take a peek at over 150 local artists’ paintings, sculptures, photographs and mixed media pieces. Many artists will be in their studios to discuss their work, so don’t miss out.

This Saturday, The Williamsburg  is hosting an Open House from 12-5. Afterwards, head up to The Greenpointers Fall Market to check out some featured local artists and food vendors. There will be jewelry, coffee, flowers, food and more, so don’t miss out.

Sunday, head over to Brooklyn Bridge Park for Taste of Brooklyn Bridge. This foodie crawl features Park staples like Luke’s Lobster, Ample Hills Creamery, Fornino Pizza and No.7 Sub. Grab some quick bites from each stand and enjoy the beautiful fall breeze as you stroll along the waterfront. After lunch, head over to The Shelton from 1-3 during the Open House for a peek at these spacious, sunny apartments.

Saturday, in Williamsburg, the Brooklyn Flea is hosting a Record Fair along the waterfront. Drop by from 11 AM on to check out all the limited edition and special fair exclusives to round out your vinyl collection. Grab some lunch at Smorgasburg while you flip through and head over to The Williamsburg afterwards for an Open House from 12-5.

Sunday, 364 Union will be hosting an Open House from 2-4. Afterwards, take a trip over to Green-Wood Cemetery for a special trolley tour of the grounds. Take an in depth look at some of the cemetery’s most decadent architecture and mausoleums while enjoying a guided tour by costumed performers. Tours run from 12-4, make sure to bring your camera to capture the beautiful foliage.
