Sunny 68 degrees means it’s the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the spring.

A few fun things going on this weekend:

The Brooklyn Botanical Garden is celebrating Cherry Blossom Season with Sakura Matsuri, “A weekend celebrating traditional and contemporary Japanese culture.”  Click here for an event schedule, which includes Drumming, Manga, Kids’ Workshops, Flower Arranging and more. The festivities are on both Saturday, 4/27 and Sunday, 4/28.

While you’re in the area, don’t forget to check out the Open House at Park Union on Sunday, from 12-4 PM.

On the other side of town in Riverdale, Wave Hill is celebrating Arbor Week. With events scheduled all week, there are plenty of informational workshops and tours to get involved in. One event to note is the Tree Giveaway, a partnership with MillionTreesNYC, happening on Sunday 4/28.  Families, individuals and community groups are invited to pick up a free tree for planting on private property.
