Saturday, start out at BLDG 92 at the Brooklyn Navy Yards. July 20th will be the Summer edition of the Seasonal Photography Tours, so bring your camera for a tour of the facilities, including the WWII-era pier, the Naval Hospital and Wallabout Bay. Head over to The Shelton at 775 Lafayette Ave when your photo roll is full for an Open House from 12:30-2:30.

This Sunday, Wave Hill is hosting a Family Art Project where guests are encouraged to sketch the river landscape and the Wave Hill Aquatic Garden with paint, crayons and collage. Stroll through the gardens and Museum for more inspiration for your artwork. Afterwards, drop by Fieldston Lofts for an Open House from 3-4:30 PM to check out these expansive homes in Riverdale.

Sneak Peek of the New Whitney Museum

Architizer took a sneak peek at the new Whitney Museum going up along the High Line. ” The new Whitney will triple the museum’s display space, allowing curators to shine light on its extensive permanent collection and experiment in what will be the largest column-free and first LEED Gold-certified art space in New York City.” The new space will open in 2015. On Saturday, head over to the Artisan Market at Fort Greene Park, which showcases local artists selling their expertly crafted artwork and wares. Then, take a quick trip up Lafayette to The Shelton, at 775 Lafayette Avenue, for an Open House from 3-5.

On Sunday, start your day at the Riverdale RiverFest, the annual community festival celebrating the Hudson River. Music, arts and crafts, events and boat rides will be going on all day at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Make sure to drop by Fieldston Lofts afterwards to view these beautiful Riverdale homes.  The Open House will be from 1-3.

Start out on Saturday at the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket. They’re celebrating Pollinator Week with an informative demonstration on honey bees and bee keeping. While you’re there don’t forget to pick up some fresh fruit and vegetables from the vendors. Afterwards, head over to 816-818 Dean Street to take a peek at some of the areas newest rentals, with an Open House from 12-2.

On Sunday drop by the Funday Sunday Street Fair on Smith Street to catch the best in local eateries, artists and music. Afterwards take a trip to The Shelton on Lafayette Ave for an Open House from 3-5.

Fieldston Lofts will also be hosting an Open House on Sunday, from 11:30-1:30. Drop by the Scandinavian Music Festival in Fort Tryon Park afterwards to take in the luscious greens of the park and beautiful sounds of the New York Scandia Symphony.

This weekend is all about celebrating Dads.

Start out on Saturday by strolling through Fort Greene Park to catch the Green Market. There will be plenty of delicious vendors to pick from for a perfect picnic lunch in the park. Afterwards, make your way up Lafayette Ave to The Shelton for an Open House from 3-5.

Take Dad by the Fieldston Lofts Condominium at 3751 Riverdale Avenue  on Sunday for an Open House from 12-2. Afterwards, stop by the Bartow-Pell Museum Mansion for “Take Dad Out to the Ball Game 1864!” The New York Mutuals will be playing a game with 1864 rules, meaning no helmets or gloves. There will also be a house tour and raffle afterwards for the game ball. Make sure to catch a Carriage House and Mansion tour while you’re there.

Start this weekend off by attending the SONYA Stroll: a self-guided tour of SONYArtist members, studios and galleries in the Ft.Greene, Clinton Hill, Wallabout and Bed-Stuy neighborhoods of Brooklyn. There are over 70 participating artists, businesses and organizations along with live music, wine tasting and demonstrations along the route. Download the map to plan out your route ahead of time. Make sure to plot out 775 Lafayette Avenue for a view of The Shelton, with Open Hours from 3-5 on Saturday.

On Sunday, start the day at Fieldston Lofts in picturesque Riverdale. The Open House will be from 11:30-1:30. Then spend the day at the New York Botanical Gardens. There’s a packed schedule of demonstrations, activities and guided tours of the grounds perfect for all visitors. Highlights include Mario Batali’s Kitchen Gardens and the Harvest Celebration which will celebrate the end of spring with the Global Gardeners, traveling around the globe in the garden to inspire chefs of all ages.

On Saturday, immerse yourself in science and robotics at the World Science Festival’s  Innovation Square. They will be turning “a picturesque quad in downtown Brooklyn into a staging ground for future-shaping innovations.” There will be interactive video games, robots that fly or save lives, as well as a performance by Blue Man Group and live demo’s and talks. Events start at 12 PM at Polytechnic Institute of NYU, MetroTech Plaza. Afterwards head over to The Shelton to check out the Open House from 3-5 at 775 Lafayette Avenue.

On Sunday, stop by the Cloisters for a guided tour of the museum.  Make sure to attend the, “Strike A Pose” workshop where you will “learn how body language can tell stories and ideas. See how artists in the Middle Ages represented feelings, moods and expressions in paintings, sculpture, and other artworks.” Also, don’t miss the gallery discussion, “Classicism in Medieval Art and Architecture.” There will also be an Open House at our nearby Riverdale development, Fieldston Lofts, from 11-1. Come by to check out these gorgeous lofts with amazing views.

In Brooklyn, Sunday will be the 43rd Annual Prospect Lefferts Gardens House & Garden Tour. From 12-5 the tour will make 10 stops in the area showcasing houses and apartments from 1909-1939 that have been beautifully restored and renovated. There will be seven private open gardens along the way, as well as local artist studios open for viewings and sales. After a trip through some of the neighborhoods oldest homes, drop by some of the newest at The Dean Lofts, 816-818 Dean St. The Open House on Sunday is from 2-4.

Prospect Park

This weekend is the kickoff to summertime.

In preparation for the first BBQ of the season, on Saturday, drop by the Fort Greene Park Greenmarket to pick up some fresh, green supplies. Make sure to stop by BAM for the DanceAfrica Bazaar, part of the DanceAfrica Program, which will feature “over 300 vendors from around the world converge on the streets surrounding BAM, transforming the neighborhood into a global marketplace offering African, Caribbean, and African-American food, crafts, and fashion.” Afterwards, head up to The Shelton for an Open House from 3-5 where we’ll be showing this amazing Penthouse with Manhattan Views.

On Sunday, spend the day in Prospect Park, where the semi-monthly Food Truck Rally is going on, along with the Pop-Up Audubon with lessons on bird watching, the local Eco System and keeping the park clean. The Lefferts Historic House will also be hosting an event to teach you how to turn fleece into yarn. There will be plenty to keep you busy or just pack a pick-nick and relax on the lawn. Stop by The Dean Lofts to take a look at our newest rentals in the area. Open House will be from 11-12:30.

This weekend, it’s time to celebrate a little bit of New York history.

Take a bike ride over to the Navy Yards’ BLDG 92 for the “Brooklyn Navy Yard: Past, Present and Future” exhibition which delves into the rich American history of the Navy Yards and describes the transformation into the manufacturing and green business facility it is today. Make sure to take the bike tour for a more in depth look at the changes made over the years. Afterwards, hop on the Vanderbilt bike lane to visit The Shelton on Lafayette for our Open House from 3-5.

On Sunday, head to the New York Transit Museum, to find out exactly how the subways work in the “ElectriCity” exhibit and catch the “Meet Miss Subways” exhibit, “a look at New York’s most iconic and democratic beauty contest.” After brushing up on your transit history, jump on the subway or bus and head to Prospect Heights to take a look at The Dean Lofts, some of our newest rentals. Open House Hours on Sunday are 11:30-1:30.

Uptown, The Bartow-Powell Mansion Museum is giving free guided tours of the grounds to celebrate Bronx Week on Sunday. Make sure to catch “The Age of Botanical Wonders, Illustrations from Transactions of the Horticultural Society of London, 1805–1829” on display in the museum’s library. After a thorough tour, head over to the Open House at Fieldston Lofts from 1-3 for a peek of this gorgeous new development in Riverdale.

This weekend is all about celebrating Moms.

On Saturday, stop by the Brooklyn Flea in Fort Greene to pick out that perfect gift for mom. With Vendors featuring antiques, clothes, paper goods and art work, you’re sure to find just the thing to make her feel loved. Enjoy a specialty snack at the food vendors and then take a quick trip up Lafayette to The Shelton, open house from 3-5, to take a peek at this gorgeous Penthouse unit with private cabana and spectacular views of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Or visit Dean St Lofts rentals at 818 Dean Street in Prospect Heights. Open House Hours will be 1-3pm.

On Sunday, bring mom to the Brooklyn Museum for brunch and a guided tour. Pick a tour from the list including, “The Dinner Party by Judy Chicago,” “Mummy Dearest: Mummies and More from Ancient Egypt,” “Extraordinary Women: Celebrating Mothers and Motherhood in Art through the Ages,” and more.
